Zarubezhneft and Uzbekneftegaz signed an agreement on the terms of the project in Uzbekistan
On April 5, 2019 in Moscow between Zarubezhneft JSC and JSC Uzbekneftegaz an Agreement was signed on the main conditions for implementing the project in Uzbekistan and the Road Map for ensuring timely and high-quality work at the Khartoum, East Khartoum, South Alamyshik fields to increase hydrocarbon production.
The signing of this Agreement was another important milestone in the successful cooperation of Zarubezhneft JSC and JSC Uzbekneftegaz within the framework of the previously established joint venture Andijanpetro LLC.
According to the document, it is planned that in the summer of this year, the parties will proceed to the immediate implementation of the project.
Zarubezhneft JSC is a Russian oil and gas company of strategic importance. In accordance with the Company's strategy, entering into new projects is one of the main lines of business development.
Earlier in February, Sergey Kudryashov, General Director of Zarubezhneft, presented a report to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the progress of cooperation with Uzbekneftegaz, and in March the companies registered a joint venture company AndijanPetro to implement an enhancing oil recovery project at mature fields in the Fergana Valley.
