Indonesia

In 2020, the Government of Indonesia approved an agreement on the assignment of participating interest between Zarubezhneft and Premier Oil Tuna B.V in the Tuna Block. The shares are distributed 50% to 50%. The Tuna block is located in the Indonesian Maritime Economic Zone and includes two gas fields, Kuda Laut and Singa Laut. In 2021, two exploration wells were successfully tested.

Owing to the tests carried out in 2021, the boundaries were determined and the reserves of a separate gas-oil reservoir of Miocene deposits on the Kuda Laut structure were clarified. The results of the drilling of the previous exploration well at the Singa Laut structure confirm the presence of hydrocarbons, thus, the Tuna field can be considered not only as a gas asset, but also as an oil one. The thickness of the stripped productive formations is Singa Laut — 60 m, Kuda Laut — 90 m.

Based on the information obtained as a result of the exploration campaign in 2022, a Plan of Development (POD I) was prepared. If the Tuna Block Plan of Development is approved by the Indonesian authorities, the next important step is the design of future production infrastructure facilities in the form of a conductor block and a Floating production, storage and offloading system (FPSO) vessel. The first hydrocarbon production is expected in December 2026.
