Giprovostokneft

One of the largest Russian design and research institutes in the oil and gas industry was established in 1939. Located in Samara. Since 2004, it has been part of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies.

Giprovostokneft (GPVN) has made a great contribution to the development of the oil industry in a number of Russian regions, as well as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus, and continues to participate in large-scale industry development programs in various countries. More than 3,000 fields in Russia and abroad have been put into operation under the projects of the GPVN, more than 400 oil and gas pipelines have been built. The Institute has released about 2,500 research papers, prepared 5 thousand projects for the technological development of deposits.

Today, the Institute performs more than 300 design and survey works per year. The activities of the GPVN cover:

  • conceptual design;
  • design of integrated development of oil and gas fields;
  • design of construction and reconstruction of facilities and facilities for production, treatment and transportation of oil and gas;
  • author’s supervision over the construction of capital construction projects;
  • performance of complex engineering surveys;
  • instrumental inspection of buildings and structures;
  • scientific research in the field of well construction technology;
  • design of construction and reconstruction of wells;
  • study of the properties of oil, water, petroleum gases;
  • development of regulatory and methodological materials in the area of oil and gas production.

The geography of design and survey activities of the institute now extends from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin and from the Arctic to Kazakhstan. According to the projects of Giprovostokneft, all fields of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies in Russia are being developed, including the Kharyaga, North-Khosedayu, West-Khosedayu, Visovoye, Lutseyakhskoye fields.
