VNIIneft
The All-Russian Oil and Gas Research Institute named after academician A.P. Krylov was founded in 1943. Located in Moscow. Part of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies since 2004. Works on issues of efficient development of oil fields and methods of enhanced oil recovery.
The scope of the institute’s activities includes support for geological exploration tasks for the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies, including regional analysis of conditions and hydrocarbon systems; search and evaluation of new projects within Russia and abroad; geological modeling, calculation and assessment of reserves according to the Russian classification and in accordance with SPE PRMS, drilling support and monitoring of the status of the resource base.
VNIIneft carries out a full cycle of work on the calculation of reserves and the development of design and technical documentation; develops and supports oil recovery enhancement projects; conducts laboratory studies of the properties of core and formation fluids.
The Institute prepares and implements projects for the digitalization of the production activities of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies in the area of geology and development, which provide for the implementation of solutions for software robotics, artificial intelligence and big data analysis.
VNIIneft also implements projects in the area of CO2 capture, treatment and disposal (CCUS — carbon capture utilization and storage), both within the Group of Companies and outside it.
Another area of activity is the training of highly qualified scientific and scientific and pedagogical personnel in the specialties «Geology, prospecting, exploration and operation of oil and gas fields», «Development and operation of oil and gas fields», «Regional and sectoral economics».
VNIIneft conducts design and research activities in 13 regions of Russia and 4 foreign countries. In total, over the past 10 years, the institute has supported development and production projects at 80 fields.
